May I choose what information I disclose? While we need certain information to register you as a unique user and let you access personalized services, such as PathLight other requested information is optional and may be given at your discretion.

May I choose what communications I receive? We may choose to occasionally send out an email newsletter to PathLight members to highlight features of the Service. What about Special Offers, Site and Service Updates?

We send all new members a welcoming email to verify password and username. Established members will occasionally receive information on PathLight-specific products, services, special deals, and a newsletter.

We also send the user site and service announcement updates. Members are not able to un-subscribe from service announcements, or special offer announcements, which contain important information about the existing or new service. We communicate with the user to provide requested services and in regards to issues relating to their account via email or phone. These communications include, but are not limited to, such items as billing information, upcoming expiration dates on credit cards used for PathLight Service payments or other account information.

What is the PathLight Tell-A-Friend program and how does it affect me?

If a user elects to use our referral service for informing a friend about our site, we ask them for the friend's name and email address. PathLight will automatically send the friend a one-time email inviting them to visit the site. PathLight stores this information for the sole purpose of sending this one-time email. The friend may contact PathLight at http://www.mypathlight.com to request the removal of this information from their database.

Further, such prior information is never completely removed from our databases due to technical and legal constraints, including stored "back up" systems. Therefore, you should not expect that all of your personally identifiable information would be completely removed from our databases in response to your requests.

What kind of security is used to protect my information? We store all user information in secure databases protected via a variety of access controls. This data is accessed only for the purposes specified in this privacy statement. PathLight uses industry standard practices to safeguard the confidentiality of your personal identifiable information, including "firewalls" and Secure Socket Layers. PathLight treats data as an asset that must be protected against loss and unauthorized access. We employ many different security techniques to protect such data from unauthorized access by users inside and outside the company. However, "perfect security" does not exist on the Internet.

Our subsidiaries and joint ventures follow privacy practices no less protective of all users than our practices described in this document, to the extent allowed by applicable law. It is possible that PathLight, its subsidiaries, its joint ventures, or any combination of such, could merge with or be acquired by another business entity. Should such a combination occur, you should expect that PathLight would share some or all of your information in order to continue to provide the service. You will receive notice of such event and we will require that the new combined entity follow the practices disclosed in this Privacy Policy.
